Gene's business was growing faster than he could keep up. In less than three years he added 27 workers and three foremen. His profits were nearly doubled. These numbers were exciting and Gene was very pleased. However, he was losing control of his billing, accuracy and legitimate time cards because the growth was so hard to track.
Gene had Contractor GPS units installed on all of his vehicles and construction equipment.
Gene's bookkeeper was able to track each piece of equipment. She could view the exact location of the equipment and how long it was used. She then verified the address to the contracted job and applied the hours to the bills. She was also able to cross-examine the actual time equipment was engaged, along with laborers on site, to the actual estimate bid that was given. This allowed Gene to know how accurate he was.
The bookkeeper was also able to monitor worker hours accurately. From the first turnover of the trucks in the morning, to the moment they were turned off and returned to the office, she could verify hours at work. The precise locating system also allowed her to follow their day to see how long they took breaks and where they took them. Gene set up geo-fencing to alert him when any worker went off the trail for personal usage.
Vehicle maintenance was also tracked. Rather than pay someone extra hours to check each vehicle for mileage and tune-ups, Contractor GPS alerted Gene with a text message when each vehicle required an oil change or maintenance.
The Vehicle Theft Protection also allowed Gene to lower his insurance premiums. He could disable a motor and track it's location in event of a theft.
Today, Gene's business continues to grow. Contractor GPS allowed him the accuracy and streamlining to keep his reputation and billing honest.
